The risk of leaving Utah early didn't land a big reward for Brandon Burton and Sealver Siliga. Burton, a corner who was projected to go as high as in the second round in the NFL draft, wasn't selected until the fifth round where he was taken by the Minnesota Vikings with the 139th overall pick. Vikings defensive backs coach Joe Wood said on the team's site that the Vikings took him because of his overall athleticism. Siliga, a defensive tackle who also left school early, went undrafted. Offensive lineman Caleb Schlauderaff was the only other Utah player to be selected, going to Green Bay in the sixth round as the 179th pick overall. Burton told Vikings.com that he wasn't disappointed he slipped to the fifth round. "I tried to go into this whole process with no big expectations," he said. "I just tried to stay humble about everything and getting drafted is an honor." Burton said he was happy to be picked up by the Vikings since their scheme is similar to Utah's. "I know they play a lot of cover 2 which I played at the University of Utah," he said. "We played a lot of man and cover 2 there. Their concepts and schemes that they do is nothing new to how I played in college."
