The Utes released their schedule for spring practice, which starts March 8. All practices are open to the public. Scrimmages and the spring game, scheduled for April 16, will be held at Rice-Eccles Stadium and all other practices will be at the practice fields, weather permitting. I've gotten a lot of questions about the status of Utah's returning running backs given the losses at that position. In addition to the recently signed players Harvey Langi and John White, Utah will have scholarship players Lucky Radley and Beau Burton in camp. Radley redshirted while Burton had nine carries for 59 yards and a touchdown as a freshman.Walk-on Shawn Asiata, Matt Asiata's younger brother who transferred from Snow College, has left the team along with Tauni Vakapuna. Vakapuna left due to family matters and may or may not return in the fall. Vakapuna, a transfer from Dixie State, played in all 13 games last year as a junior, finishing with 19 carries for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Asiata had six catches for 32 yards and a touchdown as a junior.2011 Utah Football Spring ScheduleMarch 8, Tues. (no pads), 2:25 p.m.March 10, Thurs. (no pads), 2:25 p.m.March 12, Sat.
