Anthony Denham, a 6-foot-6 receiver out of East Los Angeles Junior College the Utes are recruiting, figures he is getting the best of both worlds if he chooses Utah and can play for new offensive coordinator Norm Chow and Aaron Roderick, who held the title of co-coordinator in 2010 but will coach the receivers next year to make room for Chow. Denham, who is considering the Utes along with Cincinnati, Ole Miss and Central Florida, said he liked the idea of having Chow on Utah's staff since he is knowledgeable about the Pac-10. "It's a whole different conference and he is a legend who knows the systems so him coming in to Utah is a major plus, especially for recruits in California on the offensive side. Not having him isn't a negative thing, but it's a better step and good to maintain the goal of going to the Pac-10." Denham said he has spoken to Roderick since Chow's hiring became official and Roderick assured him he was staying as the receivers coach, which is important to Denham since Roderick has recruited him. "I'm not worried," Denham said. "I'm not saying Norm Chow is better, but he can help because he knows the defenses (in the Pac-10) for several years now." Denham said he'd make a final decision on signing day (Feb. 2), but has enjoyed his visits to Utah. "I feel comfortable with all the players," he said. Denham is one of several recruits the Utes hope to land before signing day. Currently the Utes have 19 committed, but have a want list of about 10 players which includes Akeem Gonzales, a defensive lineman out of Mission Hills, Calif., Michael Eubank, a quarterback out of Corona, Calif., and Junior Pomee, a tight end out of Moreno Valley, Calif. The Utes had several players in town this weekend but none have committed after their visits at this point.
