Asked about possible bowl matchups earlier in the week, Utah corner Brandon Burton relished the chance of a Utah-Boise State matchup in the Las Vegas Bowl because he wanted a chance for Utah's defense to prove itself against a high-powered offense. The Utes will get their chance at the Broncos in the Dec. 22 bowl, although the announcement won't be made official until Sunday. The Las Vegas Bowl must wait until Boise State is released from BCS consideration, which is just a mere formality. More on the matchup will be on our site in a bit. As it has done often, Utah's defense must set the tone for the Utes, particularly after Saturday's news that quarterback Jordan Wynn can't play due to a shoulder injury. Terrance Cain is an experienced backup, but the last thing the Utes will want to do is put him in a difficult situation early in the game.
