Utah State coach Matt Wells was in an exceptionally good mood on Monday during his weekly presser. And why wouldn't he be? Wells' team is playing extremely well right now, rolling past Air Force 34-16 on Saturday as a followup to the win over BYU. Up next for the Aggies is Saturday's pivotal game at Colorado State, a contest Wells likened to a heavy weight fight. "It's going to go 12 rounds, all the way to the end," he said. Wells is in a good mood though because the Aggies have shown the ability to throw some quick punches behind the arm of quarterback Darell Garretson and his receiving corps. Garretson is playing with more and more confidence, allowing the Aggies to execute their game plan so successfully. "I wish it was that easy all the time," Wells said. "Rarely do things happen exactly the way you want it." If only it could this weekend against the Rams. CSU has a good, varied offense behind quarterback Garrett Grayson, who is 131-of-207 passing for 1,823 yards and 16 touchdowns with five interceptions. Running back Dee Hart has 543 yards on 84 carries for five touchdowns. There are areas the Aggies must improve in, Wells said, mentioning the red zone offense, third down conversions and avoiding lulls in the second half. But overall, he and the Aggies are feeling confident, and that is a good feeling after some of the disappointing outcomes and injuries they faced earlier.
