Utah State leads Arkansas State 7-0 at halftime, but the storyline of the half was all the missed scoring opportunities. The Aggies' defense recorded three turnovers with Frankie Sutera getting an interception and Devin Centers and LT Filiaga recovering fumbles, but the Aggies wasted the ensuing scoring opportunities. The lone score was an 81-yard pass play from Darell Garretson to Hunter Sharp in the first quarter. Utah State started two drives inside Arkansas State territory (on the 33 and 44-yard lines) and from its own 43 and 48 yard lines and failed to score on any of them. One drive ended in an interception thrown by Darell Garretson on third-and-goal from Arkansas State's 6-yard line and another ended in a missed 45-yard field goal attempt by Jake Thompson. Garretson is 14-of-23 for 170 yards and Rashad Hall has 38 yards rushing on six carries. The Red Wolves have 138 yards of offense, 45 of which came on the ground. The majority of that rushing total came on a 21-yard gain.
