Guard gets her shot at WNBA
Utah State's Jennifer Schlott's collegiate playing days are over, but that doesn't mean her career is.
The guard will get her chance at a pro career with the Indiana Fever as she signed a contract with the WNBA team on Wednesday.
Training camp opens on April 27.
"It was a surprise," Schlott said Wednesday's deal. "I thought that it might happen, but I didn't think it would happen so soon."
As a senior for the Aggies, the guard broke the MWC and Utah State single-season record for points scored with 811.
She also set the conference record for single-season scoring, averaging 26.2 points in overall games and 27.2 points in league games. She finished her career with 1,556 points.<
Schlott also set records for assists in a season (192) and career (436).
