Junior safety Brian Suite wasn't the defensive MVP of the Poinsettia Bowl, but the Aggies' top returning defensive back is getting his props after the fact.

Both Sports Illustrated and CBS Sports named Suite to their all-bowl teams. The postseason nods come on the heels of the Hawaii native's 11-tackle performance against Northern Illinois in which he also got a fumble recovery and an interception.

Suite was the only Mountain West player selected to the SI team. He and Derron Smith of Fresno State represented the conference for CBS Sports. (Colorado State's Shaquil Barrett might want to complain.)

An honorable mention all-conference selection at safety, Suite finished with a team-high five interceptions for the year. He also recovered two fumbles and finished fifth on the team with 77 tackles despite missing chunks of a few games with a shoulder injury.

Suite is the only regular starter returning to the secondary next year. He started all 14 games for Utah State.
