Tuesday's games

Women's basketball

No. 7 Denver 73, No. 10 Texas State 63: Diamond Ford scored 27 for the Bobcats, but a balanced effort on offense and a rebounding edge helped the Pioneers advance.

No. 8 New Mexico State 76, No. 9 UT Arlington 63: A 23-point outing from Kelsie Rozendaal and three other scorers in double digits set the pace for the Aggies, who held the Mavericks to 33.9 percent shooting.

Men's basketball

No. 7 Texas State 68, No. 10 Seattle 56: The cold-shooting Redhawks couldn't contain the Bobcats, as Joel Wright scored 26 to lead Texas State to victory.

No. 9 UT San Antonio 67, No. 8 San Jose State 49: Kannon Burrage and Jeromie Hill combined for 41 points to knock off the listless Spartans.

Wednesday's schedule

Women's basketball

No. 3 Idaho v. No. 6 San Jose State, 1 p.m.: The Spartans will be looking to pay back the Vandals for sweeping them in the regular season.

No. 2 UTAH STATE v. No. 7 Denver, 3:30 p.m.: Read the preview here.

No. 1 Seattle v. No. 8 New Mexico State 7 p.m.: The Redhawks look to defend their top seeding against a team they beat twice in the regular season.

No. 4 UTSA v. No. 5 Louisiana Tech, 9:30 p.m.: A rubber match between teams that beat each other on the road and finished within a game of each other in the standings.
