Antonio Bumpus, the junior college transfer, sat out of Friday night's 74-42 win over UC San Diego.

And unfortunately for him, the news may not be good.

The fear is that Bumpus, a high-flying shooting guard, has broken his foot. The injury occured on Friday afternoon in shootaround, and Bumpus was in a walking boot by gametime.

Bumpus has been injury prone. He broke the same foot last season, and had missed most of the preseason conditioning when it didn't heal as well. He was back by the beginning of practice and he did participate in Wednesday night's Blue-White scrimmage.

Bumpus will receive tests on the foot in the next few days to officially determine the severity of the injury. But it looks as if he could potentially be shelved for quite awhile.
