At 330 pounds, it's hard to miss Evan Huahulu.

The noseguard transferred to Utah State from SMU and is looking to be an important piece for the Aggies on their defensive line.

Huahulu, however, was relegated to third string as recently as two weeks ago. But he's gotten in better shape, he's started to clog the middle, and he's started to turn heads on the coaching staff.

"He's playing very well right now," Utah State head coach Gary Andersen said. "He's making plays."

With Al Lapuaho entrenched as the starter at the tackle position, Huahulu has been promoted to the number two role. That means he will be on the field a lot for USU as Andersen and defensive line coach Frank Maile want to rotate as much as possible and keep people fresh.

It wouldn't be a shock to see Huahulu as a 20 play guy once the season starts against Auburn.
