David Collette, a 6-foot-9 center out of Murray High, committed to Utah State on Thursday morning, according to Evric Gray, his AAU coach with the Salt Lake Rebels.

Collette, one of the best interior high school players in the state this season, visited Utah State on Wednesday afternoon, before pledging his committment with the USU coaching staff on Thursday. For the Aggies, it gives them a player that can shoot the ball from 15 feet, operate in the paint, block shots and handle the ball.

He's also scored a lot this season, averaging over 22 points per game. He's had several huge outings, scoring 33 points at Cyprus and 32 points at Skyline. He's been a four-year starter at Murray and he's gotten steadily better as his career's progressed.
