Sophomore point guard E.J. Farris will remain Utah State's back-up to Brockeith Pane, Stew Morrill has confirmed

"He's played well enough to keep the job," Morrill said.

Farris replaced freshman James Walker in the rotation last week against Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State. He was simply okay against La. Tech, but he shined against the Southern Aggies.

He created shots for himself and others off the dribble. His no-look pass for a Morgan Grim dunk was a thing of beauty. He handled NMSU's pressure. He drained a crucial three-pointer and his lay-up giving USU a 20-19 lead represented the last time the Aggies trailed.

There's certainly a lot of talent at the point guard position between Farris, Pane and Walker. It will be interesting to see if the position, which has shuffled between back-ups three times this season, stays the same.
