This blog is much more impressed with the win over Western Michigan than the win over Idaho State. Beating the Bengals was easy because the Aggies were so much better than ISU from a physical standpoint.

Beating Western Michigan was a different animal. If the Broncos were in the WAC this season, they'd have a chance to be the third best team in the league. WMU is big, physical, has a deep set of big men, a nice swingman in Nate Hutcheson and good guard play. They're solid for sure.

And they guarded, and they were prepared. It was tough for Utah State to adapt to the physical style of play, guys being bumped off cuts, every screen and pass being challenged. But it was good for the Aggies to have gone through the experience.

"They did some things we weren't used to," Stew Morrill

What that meant was that USU couldn't play basketball robotically. The players needed to make basketball plays. Pooh Williams did so by scoring 18 points. Brockeith Pane did so by scoring at will in transition.
