One of my favorite new shows of the fall, The Flash, premieres tonight (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30).

I'm not a huge fan of comic-book based shows, but I really like this one.

Also tonight, it's the premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show (11 p.m., FX). If clowns have never frightened you before, the fourth season of this series will ensure that they frighten you now.

As you might expect, "AHS" is gross, disgusting, horrifically violent and tremendously disturbing. It's not for the faint of heart.
