Tuesday on TV: I believe that we might win (the USA-Belgium match)

In case you haven't heard, there's a rather important World Cup soccer game this afternoon. The U.S. Men's National Team takes on Belgium (2 p.m., ESPN) in the knock-out round - so it's win or go home.

I believe that we might win. I don't claim to be a soccer expert, but I know a little bit about it. And, if nothing else, you never know what might happen in any given game.

I'm cautiously optimistic. But then I'm cautious about most thing.

Today's other round-of-16 game matches Argentina and Switzerland (10 a.m., ESPN), with the winner getting the winner of USA-Belgium.

Tonight, there's another Utahn on America's Got Talent (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5) - Josh Wright, who's described as "a pianist with a twist."

Elsewhere on TV ...

Extreme Weight Loss (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): A 46-year-old widow who weighs 300 pounds tries to lose weight.

America's Got Talent (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Auditions continue.

Time Scanners (7 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): The secrets of the Egyptian pyramids are revealed with 3D laser-scanning technology.

Rizzoli & Isles (7 and 9 p.m., TNT): A killer uses online ads to find murder victims.

History Detectives: Special Investigations (8 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): The new season begins with a new format - one mystery per episode. First up is the explosion that destroyed the Mississippi steamboat S.S. Sultan in 1865. It was filled with Union soldiers; the death toll was 1,547.

Sullivan & Son (8 and 8:30 p.m., TBS): It's Ok Cha vs. Roy in a spicy-food eating contest.

Perception (8 and 10 p.m., TNT): A boy with a developmental disorder is taken hostage during a bank robbery.

Celebrity Wife Swap (9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Judy Gold swaps places with Penn Jillette's wife.

The Night Shift (9 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): A crash sends dozens of soldiers to the emergency room.

Pretty Little Liars (9 p.m., ABC Family): Ali wants to return to her role as queen bee, but the other girls aren't so sure about that.

Chasing Life (10 p.m., ABC Family): April is feeling overwhelmed.

Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker (10 p.m., TLC): Bakers choose their own teams in a challenge that involves 100 pounds of candy and a very demanding client.

Royal Pains (10 p.m., USA): Randy is determined to win over Divya.

P.O.V. (11 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): A profile of 98-year-old Grace Lee Boggs, a Chinese-American social activist in Detroit.
