Wednesday on TV: It's time for the big gay wedding on 'Modern Family'

The big day is here. It's time for Cameron and Mitchell's wedding on Modern Family (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4), the first half of a two-parter that concludes next week.

The fact that ABC is making such a big deal out of a gay wedding shows us how much television and the world have changed.

The fact that, increasingly, Cameron has been portrayed as sort of a flouncy gay stereotype shows us not everything has changed.
