Dell Loy Hansen makes management changes at former Simmons radio stations

Utah developer/Real Salt Lake owner Dell Loy Hansen bought out Simmons Media in October; six months later, he's making some major changes to the management of the radio stations.

Stephen C. Johson, a 35-year veteran of Simmons, has been appointed generaal manager and CEO of Broadway's Salt Lake Radio Group. He'll oversee former Simmons stations KXRK, KUDD, KUUU, KEGA and KYMV as well as KALL, which Hansen took control of when he became sole owner of Real Salt Lake.

And John G. Kimball, Real Salt Lake's senior vice president of business operations and general manager of ESPN 700 (KALL) has been named general manager and CEO of Real Media, which will oversee Broadway's digital, technical, event and entertainment, and outdoor media assets.

G. Craig Hanson, a holdover from Simmons, is retiring as market manager of Hansen-owned Broadway Media's Salt Lake Radio Station Group. He plans "to pursue radio station ownership in St. George and other media consulting," according to Broadway.

Bret J. Leifson, another Simmons holdover, is leaving his position as vice president of administration of Broadway Media "to pursue other interests."
