Tuesday on TV: What’s happening on ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’? Ask Captain America

If you’ve seen the new movie "Captain America: Winter Soldier," you must have questions about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4).

I don’t want to spoil the movie. And It’s unclear exactly what’s happening on the TV show. Except that the last couple of episodes have actually come a lot closer to living up the series’ potential.

I’m still not in love with "S.H.I.E.L.D" (or whatever), but I like it a lot more than I did earlier this season.

NCIS (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): McGee’s girlfriend asks for help.

The Voice (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): The playoffs begin.

The Dave Clark Five - Glad All Over, a Great Performances Special (7 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): Very entertainin documentary about one of the great British bands of the 1960s.

Glee (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Kurt is the target of a gay bashing.

NBA (7 p.m., ROOT): Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz

NCIS: Los Angeles (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): A former Marine is being tracked by al-Qaida.

The Goldbergs (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Adam is excited about his upcoming birthday party.

About a Boy (8 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Fiona hijacks Will’s poker night. And Crosby (Dax Shepherd) crosses over from "Parenthood" for the game.

The Mindy Project (8 and 8:30 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Mindy and Danny start dating; a prominent doctor (Anna Gunn) trues to lure Mindy to her practice.

Trophy Wife (8:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Kate takes over the PTA and ends up getting blackmailed.
