This weekend on TV: KJZZ gives props to the preps — 4A and 5A basketball championships

How about a big round of applause for KJZZ? Once again, the station is giving high schoolers some attention and putting some big games on TV.

Ch. 14 is airing four boys high school basketball semifinals on Friday. First up are the 4A semis - Orem vs. Springville (2:30 p.m.) and Bountiful vs. Olympus (4:10 p.m.)

Then it's the 5A semis - Davis vs. Lone Peak (5:50 p.m.) and American Fork vs. Pleasant Grove (7:30 p.m.)

KJZZ will also telecast the two championship games on Saturday. The 4A games is at 1:30 p.m.; the 5A games is at 4 p.m.

The Mentalist (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): A U.S. attorney is found dead in Mexico.

Revenge (9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Victoria is confronted by two ghosts from her past.

True Detective (10 p.m., HBO): Hart and Cohle get a new lead in their 17-year-old case. (Season finale)

Shameless (10 p.m., Showtime): Ian is kicked out of Mickey's house.

Online Dating Rituals of the American Male (11 p.m., Bravo): This is as sleazy as the title might indicate - voyeuristic TV.

Girls (11 p.m., HBO): Hannah worries about her relationship with Adam.

House of Lies (11 p.m., Showtime): Marty and the team execute the plan to seize Marissa's company from her siblings.

My Five Wives (11 p.m., TLC): Utahns Brady Williams, his five wives and their two dozen children are the stars of this new reality series. And the arguing begins pretty much immediately.

Looking (11:30 p.m., HBO): Patrick is hoping to mend fences.

Episodes (11:30 p.m., Showtime): The final episode of "Pucks!" is filmed.
