Dallas (7 and 9:01 p.m., TNT) returns for its third season - its 17th season, if you include the original 14-year run - and its first without J.R. Ewing. The man who played J.R., Larry Hagman, passed away during production of Season 2/Season 16, but his presence loomed large even in the episodes that were produced after his death. And J.R. Is gone but certainly not forgotten now. There aren't many people out there who are bigger "Dallas" fans than I am. And, after seeing the first two episodes of this season, I'm still engaged. I stll want to know what happens next. It's not perfect. The introduction of a new villain isn't altogether smooth, and there's a twist involving one of the returning characters that is, well, pretty crazy. But then there have always been crazy plot twists on "Dallas."It's still fun to watch. And that's what it's supposed to be.Also on TNT, the cable channel introduces Private Lives of Nashville Wives at 8:01 and 10:02 p.m. It's a reality show about unlikable people trying to make it big in country music, and it's pretty much unbearable. And over on NBC, there's a new late night host. Late Night with Seth Meyers (11:35 p.m., Ch. 5) premieres.Elsewhere on TV ...How I Met Your Mother (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): The gang tries to come up with a hangover cure for Barney on the morning of his wedding day.The Voice (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): The blind auditions begin in the season premiere.Almost Human (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): A chrome is murdered.Star Crossed (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Drake is abducted.RuPaul's Drag Race (7 p.m., Logo): A new season begins.NBA (7 p.m., ROOT): Boston Celtics at Utah JazzBeing Human (7 and 10 p.m., Syfy): Aidan and Suzanna have to face the truth about their past.Mike & Molly (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Mike urges Molly to see a therapist. The Following (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Ryan and Max turn to the FBI for help.Lost Girl (8 and 11 p.m., Syfy): Dyson is on trial for murder.Mom (8:30 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Christy has a new boyfriend, and Bonnie has to pick up the slack at home.Intelligence (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): The team tries to protect a Bolivian presidential candidate.Castle (9:01 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): A woman confesses to murder, but the evidence indicates she's innocent. The Blacklist (9:01 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Red convinces Liz to pull off a heist at the Syrian Embassy.Switched at Birth (9 p.m., ABC Family): Daphne is in over her head as she tries to help Sharee. The Fosters (10 and 11 p.m., ABC Family): Tensions boil over between Jesus and Emma.Archer (11 p.m., FX): Malory takes everyone on a road trip.
