Thursday on TV: Can BYU beat Gonzaga?

Seems a little iffy to me, but there are "experts" out there who are saying that if BYU beats Gonzaga tonight in men's college basketball (9 p.m., ESPN2), the Cougars will be headed to the NCAA tournament.

That's a big if. BYU has lost five in a row to Gonazaga.

And it's a late start in Provo, which may mean fewer fans in the Marriott Center cheering the Cougars on.

Elsewhere on TV ...

The Taste (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): A winner is declared in the season finale.

American Idol (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The 13 finalists are revealed.

Under the Gunn (7 and 11 p.m., Lifetime): Contestants go crazy; mentors have to referee.

Rake (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Keegan defends a chef accused of bigamy.

King of the Nerds (8 and 11:30 p.m., TBS): There's a "Star Trek" vs. "Star Wars" debate.
