Christmas Eve on TV: Ho, ho, hike!

There's one football game and a whole lot of holiday programming on TV tonight. Here are a few favorites:

The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2, The Santa Clause 3 (6, 8 and 10 p.m., ABC Family): 1994, 2002 and 2006 movies. (Repeats)

College football (6 p.m., ESPN): Hawaii Bowl - Boise State vs. Oregon State

A Christmas Story (6 p.m., TBS): The annual 24-hour marathon of this 1983 charmer begins, with airings every two hours. (Repeat)

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (7 and 7:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): The classic 1966 animated special is up first, then it's the not-so-classic 2000 Jim Carrey movie. (Repeats)

It's a Wonderful Life (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Classic 1946 film. (Repeat)

The Nightmare Before Christmas (9 p.m., MTV): Tim Burton's 1993 film. (Repeat)
