The Gross family of South Jordan, Utah, makes an appearance on "Ellen" today and comes away with a big check and a car.
Ellen DeGeneres does this sort of thing from time to time for deserving viewers, and the Grosses certainly seem deserving. Here’s the info for the show, which airs weekdays at 3 p.m. on KTVX-Ch. 4:
Ellen surprises Anne Marie and her husband Josh Gross from South Jordan, UT. Anne Marie wrote into the show to tell Ellen about her amazing family. Two years ago, they adopted five foster children who are siblings, aged 5-16. Ellen was amazed by their story and wanted to help them out, so she gave them $10,000 courtesy of Shutterfly. After speaking with the kids and hearing about why they love their new parents, Ellen wanted to give them a car that they would all fit into and she surprised them with a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe!
