This weekend on TV: Real Salt Lake goes for Western Conference championship

For the first time since Real Salt Lake won the MLS Cup four years ago, the team has a chance to win some major hardware - the Western Conference championship (Sunday, 7 p.m., ESPN).

RSL leads Portland 4-2 after the first leg; if RSL wins, ties or loses by one goal, they win. If they lose by two goals, they go to OT. If they lose by three or more goals, they're out.

MLS playoffs (5:30 p.m., NBCSN): It's Houston at Kansas City in the Eastern Conference final. Why do we care? Because if Houston wins and Real Salt Lake eliminates Portland on Sunday, the MLS Cup final will be in Rio Tinto Stadium on Dec. 7.

Atlantis (7 and 11 p.m., BBC America): Rather entertaining new series that's sort of based in Greek mythology, but only sort of.

Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles (8 p.m., HBO): Silverman performs her standup act.

Bill Cosby: Far From Finished (9 p.m., Comedy Central): Cosby performs his standup act.

Identity Thief (10 p.m., HBO): Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman star in this R-rated 2013 comedy.
