Eight months and four days after it began, the Major League Soccer season could end tonight for Real Salt Lake.
Heading into the second leg of their Western Conference semifinal against the L.A. Galaxy (7 p.m., ESPN2) in Rio Tinto Stadium, RSL trails 1-0. If the home team wins by two or more goals, they will advance to the next round.
If RSL leads by a single goal at the end of regulation, they will head to overtime and, possibly, a shoot-out.
If it's a tie or if Los Angeles has the lead, RSL's season is over.
Also tonight, Seattle travels to Portland (9 p.m., NBCSN) for the second leg of their series. Portland leads 2-1; the winner will face the winner of RSL-L.A.
