Over on NBC, they're hoping that Million Second Quiz (7 p.m., Ch. 5) turns into the kind of instant pop-culture phenomenon that "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" did in 1999. If not, the next 12 nights are going to be deadly on the network.

Ryan Seacrest hosts this trivia contest. It's live (although not in this time zone), so I can't tell you want to expect.

Elsewhere on TV ...

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins (4:55 p.m,. ESPN): Houston Texans at San Diego Chargers (8:15 p.m., ESPN)

Million Second Quiz (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Contestants do battle in a head-to-head trivia competition that extends over 12 nights.

Mistresses (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Elizabeth and Karen have a final showdown. (Season finale)

American Ninja Warrior (8 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): The competition continues.

Under the Dome (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Norrie and Joe look for a new place to hide the mini dome.

Siberia (9 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Sabina, Miljan and Neeko are abducted.
