Utahn Dian Thomas is offering helpful hints on the Hallmark Channel

Almost four decades after she became a bit of an overnight sensation on "The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson," Utahn Dian Thomas is returning to television with a gig as a regular guest on the Hallmark Channel’s "Home and Family Show."

She’ll do what she did for eight years on NBC’s "Today Show," four years on ABC’s "Home Show" and in dozens of appearances on everything from "Mike Douglas" to "Merv Griffin" to "Good Morning, America" - provide helpful and somewhat odd hints.

The author of "Roughing It Easy" and 18 other books has, among other things. Showed "Home and Family" hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare how to turn a red Radio Flyer wagon into a barbecue pit to prepare meatloaf. As you might expect from Thomas.

"Home and Family" airs weekdays at 8 a.m. MDT on the Hallmark Channel. Thomas’ next appearance is scheduled to air on Wednesday, June 12.
