Tonight on Utah TV: The Jazz try; Utah "Survivor" cries; a "Suburgatory" surprise

Will the Utah Jazz secure a spot in the NBA playoffs? It's very simple.

If the Jazz lose to the Grizzlies in Memphis (6 p.m., ROOT and ESPN), they're out.

If the Jazz beat the Grizzlies, it comes down to the Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Lakers that follows (8:30 p.m., ESPN).

If the Jazz win and the Lakers win, the Jazz are out.

If the Jazz win and the Lakers lose, the Jazz are in.

Got that?

Also, on tonight's episode of Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2), Utahn Dawn Meehan - who's always been a crier - loses her cool completely. And you don't have to take my word for it. Here's what Dawn tweeted at another "Survivor" crier, Lisa Whelchel, earlier today:

"I think tonight I will reclaim the #SurvivorBreakdown hashtag from you!"

And if you're a fan of Suburgatory (7 and 7:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4), do not miss these last two episodes of the season. They're very good - and sort of shocking.

Elsewhere on TV ...

Nature (7 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): Learning "The Mystery of the Eels."

American Idol (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The remaining contestants perform.

Nova (8 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): Australian fossils offer clues as to how four-legged animals evolved.

Southland (8 and 10 p.m., TNT): Lydia pursues John's kidnappers. (Season finale)

How to Live With You Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) (8:31 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Polly's date isn't thrilled with her family's annual Oscar party.

Guts with Michael Mosley (9 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): Mosley investigates the human digestive system.

The Americans (11 p.m., FX): Elizabeth needs Philip's help to complete a dangerous mission.

Psych (11 p.m., USA): After solving a case, Shawn considers how he might have done things differently.
