Musician Buddy Guy, actor Dustin Hoffman, ballerina Natalia Makarova and rock band Led Zeppelin are honored at The 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) -- but the one I really want to see in this situation is "Late Show" host David Letterman.
He generally hates this kind of thing. He tends to avoid showing up for most of the awards ceremonies at which he's honored.
But this is one you really can't just stay home and watch on TV. You can't exactly say no to the president.
Elsewhere on TV ...
