It seems a little incongruous that E! Entertainment Television is airing an hour about the Susan Cox Powell case - there's no Hollywood tie (yet) and it hardly seems entertaining.

Nonetheless, E! Investigates (9 p.m., E!) is going to retell the story of her disappearance; of the search; of how her husband, Josh Powell, killing his young sons and himself; and of her father-in-law, Steve Powell, being convicted on multiple counts of voyeurism.

Among those interviewed for the story are The Salt Lake Tribune's own Melinda Rogers.

Elsewhere on TV ...

Cougar Town (7 and 7:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): The theme of Jules' bachelorette party is "Groundhog Day"; Grayson convinces Jules to elope. This are the final two episodes that will air on ABC, but the show is moving to TBS in early 2012. Yeah!

America's Got Talent (7 and 8 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Auditions in New York and Tampa.

Civilization: The West and the Rest with Niall Ferguson (7 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): How the West has dominated world affairs.

New Girl (7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Four repeats of this very funny show.

The Catalina (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): This new reality series follows the young staff at a resort. It's sort of a real-life "90210" of "Gossip Girl."

The L.A. Complex (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Abby and Nick try to advance their relationship and their careers. (Season finale)

Hatfields & McCoys (10 p.m., History): In Part 2, the McCoys murder Anse's younger brother.

Deadliest Catch (9 p.m., Discovery): The ships struggle in the aftermath of the Arctic hurricane.
