Total Blackout (8 p.m., Syfy) is the American version of a Danish show. It's on Syfy. It's hosted by Jaleel White ("Family Matters").

And it's actually rather entertaining.

I know - I was surprised, too.

It's a game show in which contestants have to battle their own fears in total darkness. Not just dark. Completely dark. We can see what they're doing through the magic of night-vision cameras, but they can't see anything at all.

It's great fun to watch them get scared. Because a lot of times, they're scaring themselves.
