There are a couple of problems with Best Friends Forever (7:30 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5).

First, it's supposed to be a comedy, but it's not funny. And, second, it's filled with characters you wouldn't want to spend five minutes with, let alone a half hour a week.

Jessica (Jessica St. Clair of "Bridesmaids") thinks her life is going well until her husband sends her divorce papers. Her best friend, Lennon (Lennon Parham, "Accidentally on Purpose"), comest to the rescue, insisting that Jessica return from California to the Brooklyn apartment the two BFFs used to share.

Lennon, however, is now sharing that apartment with her boyfriend, Joe (Luka Jones). And Joe isn't thrilled to be the third wheel now. Because it gets in the way of his sex life. And he doesn't like it when Jessica sees him naked.

Ha. Ha.

It's all rather predictable. Worse yet, it's rather annoying.

Elsewhere on TV ...

Survivor: One World (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Utahn Jonas Otsuji got voted out last week, and I'm still sad about that. But the game goes on, and, according to CBS, "The game gets personal when one tribe member is confronted about her physical appearance, and a shocking blindside eradicates any sense of security in the Tikiano tribe."

Betty White's Off Their Rockers (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Betty hosts this amusing "Candid Camera"-esque show that features seniors pranking young people.

American Idol (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The remaining contestants perform.

One Tree Hill (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): This show had an OK first season and has been pretty much pure baloney since 2005. I have nothing against soap operas. I love a good soap opera. This was not a good soap opera.

And how about a big round of boos to KUCW for going back on its promise to give Real Salt Lake fans live coverage of tonight's game and, instead, tape-delay it in favor of "OTH."

NBA (7 p.m., ROOT): Phoenix Suns at Utah Jazz

Criminal Minds (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): The team investigates a series of gothic murders.

Bent (8 and 8:30 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Walt tries to win over his ex-wife; Alex has a dream about Pete.

Happy Endings (8:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): In the season finale, the gang goes to Derrick and Eric's wedding.

CSI (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): The team shuts down a casino in order to find a killer.

MLS (9 p.m. CW/Ch. 30): Montreal Impact at Real Salt Lake. Contrary to what we were promised, the game is being tape-delayed to in favor of "One Tree Hill." RSL fans, you have right to be ticked off about this.

South Park (11 p.m., Comedy Central): Cartman captures video of a mysterious creature in the woods.
