So you think you can dance? You'll have a chance to prove it in Salt Lake City on Thursday, Feb. 23, when Fox's dance competition show comes to town for auditions.
Utahns have done very well in past season of "So You Think You Can Dance." Tadd Gadduang, who auditioned in Salt Lake City a year ago, went on to finish fourth in Season 8; the other Utah finalists include Sabra Johnson, who was the winner in Season 3.
Registration begins Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South. If you're coming from out of town, make plans to stay at least three days in the event you make it past the initial audition and get a call-back. Auditions continue through Saturday, Feb. 25.
Dancers must:
• be no younger than 18 and no older than 30 as of Feb. 23, 2012. Dancers must provide legal, valid proof of age when they register for auditions.
• have a parent or legal guardian sign all required documents if he/she is a minor.
• be a U.S. citizen; a legal permanent resident of the U.S.; or have a current legal Employment Authorization Card enabling him/her to seek employment freely in the U.S.
