Former President George H.W. Bush is NOT my uncle. Former President George W. Bush is NOT my cousin.
Despite what Wikipedia tells you, I am NOT related to the Bushes who once occupied the White House.
The far-from-reliable online site contains this entry:
"Scott Pierce II (b. 1930, New York City) is the youngest child of Marvin and Pauline (Robinson) Pierce, and brother of former First Lady Barbara Bush, wife of George Herbert Walker Bush and uncle of the 43rd President George W. Bush."
Under "references," the entry contains this misinformation:
"His oldest son is the current television editor for the Salt Lake Tribune in Salt Lake City Utah."
Nope. Absolutely not.
There's some question about whether my family is related to Franklin Pierce, the 14th president (1853-57). But the Bushes? Nope. Absolutely not.
This is why you should never take anything in Wikipedia too seriously.
