It's a classic story: Boy and girl fall in love, and sometime later girl tells boy she's pregnant.
That could be the basis for a funny comedy, like "Juno," or a verse in Everlast's hit "What It's Like."
But when the setting is Afghanistan, and the characters are Muslim, the stakes become deadly serious.
That's the beginning shown in the trailer for "Wajma (An Afghan Love Story)," which screens at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
Director Barmak Akram's drama has another wild-card: The young woman's father, whose arrival triggers (according to the festival's film guide) "a timeless, archaic violence."
