It’s still two weeks until the 2013 Sundance Film Festival starts, and already deals are being made.
Open Road Films just bought the U.S. and Canada distribution rights to "jOBS," the biography of Apple Computer boss Steve Jobs, which is scheduled as the festival’s closing-night film, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Open Road, which is co-owned by the AMC and Regal theater chains, will release the film on behalf of its financier, Five Star Films.
Ashton Kutcher portrays Jobs in the movie, which spans his career from 1971 to 2000. The movie has its first Sundance screening on Jan. 25.
