"Wish You Were Here, " an Australian film screening in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition, is a brilliantly layered story that recounts a Cambodian pleasure vacation gone wrong. No, it is not "The Hangover 2." Four people go on vacation, and only three return, and the movie works so well because it is a blend of a mystery as well as an intimate character study, with Joel Edgerton demonstrating why he is a leading man on the rise. Full of twists, this film shifts back and forth in time as the shocking events of what really happened reveal themselves in devastating fashion.— David Burger
