Sundance Review: 'Wish You Were Here'

"Wish You Were Here, " an Australian film screening in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition, is a brilliantly layered story that recounts a Cambodian pleasure vacation gone wrong. No, it is not "The Hangover 2." Four people go on vacation, and only three return, and the movie works so well because it is a blend of a mystery as well as an intimate character study, with Joel Edgerton demonstrating why he is a leading man on the rise. Full of twists, this film shifts back and forth in time as the shocking events of what really happened reveal themselves in devastating fashion.
