Sundance trailer of the day: "This Must Be the Place"

For out-and-out weirdness, it may be tough to beat "This Must Be the Place" on the Sundance slate.
Director Paolo Sorrentino's movie, which debuted to quizzical reactions last May at the Cannes Film Festival, stars Sean Penn as an effeminate ex-rocker who decides to follow his dying father's pursuit of a Nazi war criminal, apparently living in New Mexico.
The cast includes Frances McDormand, Judd Hirsch, Harry Dean Stanton and Eve Hewson (daughter of U2's singer, Bono) -- and, as the title implies (and the trailer makes clear), it features the music of Talking Heads founder David Byrne (who appears in a cameo).
"This Must Be the Place" screens in the Spotlight section of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
