Welcome to The Salt Lake Tribune's Sundance blog - and we'll kick things off with a spooky, enigmatic trailer for the thriller "Red Lights." (Click on the image above to watch.)

The trailer doesn't reveal much, other than a creepy Robert DeNiro turning slowly to face the camera. But the music and the onscreen text suggest something sinister.

Here's what we know: DeNiro plays a famous psychic, who becomes the subject of an investigation by a psychologist (Sigourney Weaver) and her assistant (Cillian Murphy) who are probing the paranormal.

We also know that the movie is directed by Rodrigo Cortés, who gave us the Ryan Reynolds-in-a-box thriller "Buried." It also co-stars Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene"), Toby Jones (Dobby from the "Harry Potter" films) and Joely Richardson.

"Red Lights" will debut at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, in the Premieres section.
