RSL’s Luis Gil and U-20s face off with Costa Rica

Real Salt Lake midfielder Luis Gil and his U.S. teammates face off with Costa Rica tonight in CONCACAF U-20 action.
Gil helped the squad to a 2-1 win over Haiti Monday by scoring on a penalty kick in the early minutes of the match. Costa Rica beat Haiti on Wednesday.
The U.S. currently sits in first place in Group A thanks to the tiebreaker it holds over Costa Rica. A tie in tonight’s match (which will be televised on Fox Soccer) would give the Americans the Group A title and a quarterfinal matchup with either Canada or Nicaragua. A loss would mean a quarterfinal date with Cuba.
If the U.S. can then advance to the semifinals it would qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup this summer in Turkey.
