Certainly, the biggest question for Real Salt Lake as it prepares to open its season against the Los Angeles Galaxy tonight when it will begin a chase to host MLS Cup at Rio Tinto Stadium is who's going to play.Four starters are still coming back from surgeries or other injuries for RSL, and two of them midfielder Will Johnson and defender Nat Borchers did not even make the trip. (Neither did fascinating midfielder Jonny Steele, still battling a knee injury.)But forward Alvaro Saborio and Javier Morales both did, and both are listed as probable starters in the official pre-game notes, even though coach Jason Kreis sounded during the week as if he expected both to come off the bench as they continue to work back toward full fitness. Both played only the last 30 minutes of the final preseason game last weekend. In any case, RSL is going to field an unusual lineup.Rookie Sebastian Velasquez could start in Johnson's spot in the midfield, and highly regarded reserve Chris Schuler will replace Borchers in the back. Defender Chris Wingert is expected to play despite the deep cut he suffered above his right eye in the final preseason game, but if he cannot, newcomer Terakazu Tanaka probably would start opposite Tony Beltran at outside back.Teen-ager Luis Gil figures to have a place in the midfield, either up top in place of Morales or out wide in place of Johnson. Don't be surprised to see Paulo Jr. paired with veteran forward Fabian Espindola up top."We could see some brand new faces in the starting lineup ... who've never donned an RSL jersey before," Kreis said. "It could be a real interesting situation, and again, exciting to get some new players some experience right off the bat."
