Three large dates are on the MLS calendar for January, including the MLS SuperDraft on Jan. 12.
More than 60 NCAA Div. I college seniors and Generation adidas players show off their skills in hopes of future employment at the annual adidas MLS Player Combine between Jan. 6-10.
ESPN2 will broadcast the first round of the SuperDraft, starting at 10 a.m. (MT) at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo.
The draft has been reduced from three to two rounds and 38 overall selections, with the Montreal Impact selecting first overall.
Because is was one of two teams eliminated in the Conference Finals, Real Salt Lake has the No. 17 first round pick.
The same order will be followed for the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft, which is scheduled for Jan. 17. This is a secondary draft that is held via conference and is four rounds long. This is for players not selected in the SuperDraft.
