Robbie Russell is one of the Real Salt Lake players pleased to have Kyle Beckerman back on the field in time for Saturday's Western Conference semifinal with visiting Seattle.
Beckerman was out three games for a red card suspension as well as duty for the U.S. National Team.
"Kyle is definitely one of our emotional leaders," Russell said. "So having him back is great. This is not to say that any of the other guys who have stepped in haven't played well. Kyle is our captain and it is important for him to be on the field for us. Having him back will be an emotional boost for us."
Saturday's game is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium. It will also be televised on the Fox Soccer Channel.
"Kyle knows when to make that tackle to get the guys going," added goal keeper Nick Rimando.
Beckerman also added a career-high nine assists this season, filling in as a playmaker for injured Javier Morales.
