One of the fun moments covering Real Salt Lake practice is watching coach Jason Kreis working right alongside the players during scrimmages. The retired goal-scoring ace shows flashes of the form that made him, for a time, Major League Soccer's all-time scorer.Kreis couldn't help but laugh when asked if he hears the Sirens singing during those moments of play."Old and tired, those are the words that describe me," Kreis said.Of course, there is a more practical side of Kreis sticking his nose into the fray — though he rarely receives a hard tackle. He is one of the few head coaches in Major League Soccer who could take the pitch.Kreis uses his time on the pitch to get a different look at players or when he wants to focus on a tactical aspect of something. "It's best to be right in the middle of it," he said.Still, Kreis looks like he could give RSL a good 30 minutes off the bench.
