She was a consensus first-team all-region performer and a second-team all-area pick by the Ogden Standard-Examiner.

Mecham played club basketball for the Utah Hustle last summer.

Her family moved to Utah last summer after she played basketball for three years at Mountain View High in Mesa, Ariz. She also played volleyball and competed in track and field for the Darts.

Another Davis High star, Jessica Richardson, has signed to play basketball for Southern Utah University. Richardson is a 5-11 forward who averaged 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She was the 5A state champion in the discuss throw last spring.

Also, Davis senior Morgan Hartvigsen has signed to play for Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Va. She averaged 8.7 points per game for the Darts last season.
