Jacob Gondrezick, a guard at Judge Memorial Catholic HIgh School in Salt Lake City, has signed with Fort Lewis College of Durango, Colo.
The 6-foot senior was a two-year starter for Judge and was recently named all-state second team in Class 3A by The Salt Lake Tribune.
Gondrezick is the son of former University of Utah star Gale Gondrezick and Lisa Gondrezick.
In a school news release, Skyhawks coach Bob Hofman said Jacob Gondrezick has a high basketball IQ and is "extremely competitive."
Gondrezick was the Region 10 Most Valuable Player this past season and a starter in the 3A All-Star Game.
He averaged 16 points per game as a senior and 10 ppg. as a junior while shooting 52 percent from three-point range as a senior, best in Class 3A.
Jacob's uncle, Glen Gondrezick, played six years in the NBA for the New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets after playing collegiately at UNLV.
