UCLA extended scholarship offers this week to three Cottonwood players, Colts coach Josh Lyman said, including quarterback Cooper Bateman, who is emerging as one of the top 2013 recruits in the West.

The Bruins also offered tight end Siale Havili and receiver Inoke Lotulelei.

Havili's continued recruitment may be of most local interest. A 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end, Havili orally committed to Utah earlier this month, a move that apparently didn't deter the Bruins and first-year head coach Jim Mora Jr.

Lotulelei is a cousin of Utah nose tackle Star Lotulelei.

Bateman now boasts offers from the Bruins, California, Arizona State, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Colorado, Maryland, BYU, Utah and Boise State. He did a good interview with ESPN in February.

Meanwhile, the Colts continue to draw local interest. Utah offered senior offensive tackle Haile Falemaka.
