One of the state's best high school football players, Bingham High linebacker Jared Afalava, is drawing some serious interest from Nebraska.
A 6-foot-3, 220-pound senior, Afalava received a visit from Nebraska coaches, including head coach Bo Pelini, on Monday afternoon at his high school in South Jordan.
Afalava has said he plans to visit Nebraska this weekend (Dec. 17-18).
Afalava, who helped Bingham win the 2010 5A state championship, also has offers from BYU, Oregon, Oregon State, UCL, Washington and Utah.
