Brittney Martin, the high-flying Syracuse High basketball star, is apparently set on playing her college basketball out of state.
Martin's Utah Flight club team coach, Mary Waters, recently told ESPNU.com Martin has narrowed her list of schools to Cal, Oklahoma State, UCLA and Washington. Martin, a 6-foot-1 wing, is the No. 35 prospect in the country in the ESPNU HoopGurlz Top 100. She is talking with the four aforementioned schools about in-home visits in September, according to Waters.
Martin committed to the University of Utah last summer, but decided to re-open her recruitment earlier this year. She has also considered Arizona State, Colorado, BYU and Nebraska.
She has decided not to play volleyball this season in order to concentrate on her recruitment and basketball.
